Christine Hayman paints intense, lyrically abstract work inspired by the natural environment that surrounds her farm in the Sierra Foothills in Northern California.

Her canvases are at once lavishly and vigorously applied with thick impasto oil paint, and at the same time deftly composed with a playful line and exuberant palette.
