Featuring:

Maxine Chernoff is an NEA Fellow, a PEN Translation Prize winner, former chair of creative writing at SFSU, and former editor of New American Writing. In 2016 she was a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome. She will read from a series of poems written during our Covid isolation and from several of her recent books, Under the Music: Collected Prose Poems (MadHat Press, 2019) and Camera (subito press, 2017).

Ellery Akers is the author of three books of poems, most recently, Swerve: Environmentalism, Feminism, and Resistance. She’s won thirteen writing awards, including The Poetry International Prize, and her work has been featured in The New York Times Magazine, Poetry, and American Life in Poetry. She spends as much time as she can sitting in a camp chair on a wilderness trail, writing, drawing, and looking at birds.

Rebecca Foust is the author of seven books including Paradise Drive, The Unexploded Ordnance Bin, and ONLY, forthcoming from Four Way Books in 2022. Recognitions include the 2020 Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry, the CP Cavafy and James Hearst poetry prizes, a Marin Poet Laureateship, and fellowships from The Frost Place, Hedgebrook, MacDowell, and Sewanee. She teaches regularly, reads fiction for Narrative Magazine, and is the Poetry Editor for Women’s Voices for Change.
