The Mill Valley Arts Commission’s Comedy in the Plaza returns for its 20th Anniversary in 2024 on Thursday, June 20th at 6:00pm!

• Michael Yo is a comedian, actor, 2-time Emmy nominee, and host, keeping busy in all of Hollywood’s platforms. In standup, Michael came up under the wings of Chelsea Handler and Jo Koy and now headlines all over the country.

  He is a proud father and loving husband with a bottomless pool of material about his family. He is often heard on the Joe Rogan Experience, a regular on The Adam Carolla Show, is fresh off his critically acclaimed comedy special I Never Thought, and previously covered celebrity news on The Insider, Extra and E! News.

• Guilio Gallarotti is a New York City based standup comedian, actor, host, and podcaster. He made his Netflix stand-up comedy special debut on Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends, in June 2022.

  His podcast, Oops, is regularly listed on the iTunes top charts. He’s appeared on TV shows such as Peacock’s Bupkis, Hulu’s Ramy, AXS Gotham Comedy Live, and MTV’s Totally Clueless/Girl Code, as well as Comedy Central and Sirius XM radio.

  An avid traveler, he’s worked in Rwanda, Iraq, and started a school system in rural Afghanistan.

• Jeff Applebaum Native New Yorker, Jeff Applebaum, made his national TV debut as a comedian on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and has also appeared on Comics Unleashed, America’s Got Talent, and his highly rated Dry Bar Comedy Special.

  He’s opened for and performed with comic legends Robert Klein, Mort Sahl, Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Elayne Boosler, and more. He plays in the long-running musical tribute The Rat Pack Is Back and appeared in the blockbuster film The Pursuit of Happyness.

• Gary Michael Anderson is known for his charming and introspective humor that captivates audiences. He was the winner of the 2023 San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has written for Emmy-nominated The Ms. Pat Show and currently writes and stars in BFF’s on Freevee/Amazon Prime.

  Gary has showcased his talent on: Live at Gotham (AXS TV), Acting Out (MTV), LaffTracks (TruTV), Paste Magazine’s The Best Stand-Up, and is also a three-time semifinalist on Stand-Up NBC.

• Our MC For The Evening: Dauood Naimyar
  Dauood Naimyar is a popular comedian born in Oakland who skillfully highlights the humor and challenges as a kid living as an Afghan in America.

  His experiences give him a unique view allowing him to poke good fun at politicians, world leaders, and the non-sensical experiences of daily life. His debut comedy album, Pier 69: Junior Varsity, topped all the charts upon its release.
