Family-friendly program, with side-by-side performance with Marin Symphony and the Youth Orchestra
Family Concert
Sunday, March 19, 3:00 pm
Maestro Alasdair Neale and the marvelous Marin Symphony present a family-friendly program that celebrates the joy of music.
This delightful program includes a side-by-side performance with the Marin Symphony Youth Orchestra (MSYO); Jesse Chi, a San Marin High School Senior and winner of the MSYO Concerto Competition, will perform Arutunian’s Trumpet Concerto; KALW Radio Personality David Latulippe narrates Britten’s Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra; and we’ll be honoring music teachers of the year: San Marin High School’s Allison McIvor and Private Oboe Studio teacher Brenda Schumann-Post.
PLUS: Stay post-concert and visit our free Instrument Petting Zoo in the Redwood Foyer! Kids can see & hear demonstrations of brass & woodwinds and try strings & percussion for themselves!
