Immerse yourself in the transcendental Flow State, a solo exhibition by the esteemed Stone Shen, Director of the Suzhou Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy.

Shen redefines traditional Chinese calligraphy inks with abstract expressions. This exhibit explores the myriad environments that catalyze the elusive Flow State. This public event is available for three days only.

Flow State is a fleeting opportunity to witness the fusion of Chinese tradition and innovation through Shen’s eyes. Admittance is free, please take the opportunity to enjoy this ephemeral art show.

About the Artist:
Shen Hua, formerly known as Shen Shen (Stone S), is a poet, Author, calligrapher, and independent artist. Born in July 1959 in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, he is a member of the Asian Artists Federation, Jiangsu Calligraphers Association, and serves as a director at the Suzhou Overseas Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Academy.

He has participated in numerous international art exhibitions, including hosting three personal oil and abstract painting exhibitions in 2020 alone.

In 2022, his abstract paintings were also featured in joint exhibitions with both local and international artists in Suzhou Industrial Park, collaborating with Shanghai and China-Singapore.

His works have been collected by institutions such as Suzhou Cultural and Art Expo Center, Jinji Lake Art Museum, Wenzheng College, Hanshan Temple, Chongyuan Temple, and Songze Dao Academy. Apart from visual arts, Shen Hua has a passion for literary creations, including poetry, prose, and fiction.

His literary works can be found in professional publications such as Poetry Monthly, Yangzi River Poetry Journal, Workers’ Daily, Suzhou Magazine, and he has authored poetry collections such as Facing the Wind, Three, and Long Novel Pursuit.
