Marin Latinx Youth: Immigration Stories

Young Marin immigrants share their stories, with a moderated discussion

Graduates from the Multicultural Center of Marin youth leadership program, the Presente Alumni, share their experiences as young immigrants residing in Marin County through public storytelling and screening of a short documentary.

Meredith Reyes, Brandon Gomez, Caterin Duarte and Jafet Santiago Gomez Lopez will share their stories and participate in a moderated conversation with Barbara Clifton Zarate about their journeys to the United States, once here, and what they want people to know about the immigrant experience.

Barbara Clifton Zarate, Director of Economic Opportunity of Marin Community Foundation, has devoted her life and career to ensuring that the rights and needs of the traditionally underrepresented are respected.

This project was made possible with support from California Humanities, a non-profit partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
