The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is transforming into a blank canvas for you and your child to create, paint, dance, and everything in between.

Push the limits of arts and crafts at this weekend-long, creative festival.

Join in favorite programs or experiment with brand new activities!

All Day Programs

Spray Bottle Painting
Children will work together to create an artistic masterpiece using liquid watercolor and spray bottles.

Paper Marbling
Create your own marbled paper using shaving cream and liquid watercolors!

Mud Kitchen
Get messy and engage in imaginary play as you make mud pies, mud cakes and more!

Sand Art
Using colorful sand, children will experiment to create intricate mandalas with unique designs.

Ceramic Studio
Explore texture and form by freeform building with natural clay, or try out your skills on the wheel.

Rainbow Slime
Get messy at our tactile table complete with rainbow slime!

Pastel Art
Use pastels on black paper to explore two popular artistic techniques, blending and contrast.

Painting Gallery
Add your colorful touch to our collaborative gallery using neon paint! (No limits painting in a room that looks like real art Gallery)

Scribble Bots
Make a robot that bounces, buzzes, and draws!

Al Fresco Watercolor
Relax in nature and create your own observation watercolor in Lookout Cove.

Ceramic Demo
Learn tips and tricks of ceramic art from a professional ceramicist.

Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Mural Dance Party
Dance to live music and contribute to a large scale collaborative mural by painting with your feet.
Asheba
Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. | 11:15 a.m.-12 p.m.
Juice and Jelly
Sunday 10-10:45 a.m. | 11:15 a.m.-12 p.m.

During our Messy Art Festival, there will be no rules and no clean up (we’ll handle that part!).

There will be total permission to get messy and endless ways to have fun!

All Messy Art Fest activities are free for BADM Members and included in the price of Museum Admission.
