Mill Valley Recreation Facilities Closed

Events & Programs Cancelled
Through March 29, 2020

As of Monday, March 16th, 2020 the Mill Valley Community and Aquatics & Fitness Centers are closed to the public and all Recreation programs, classes and events have been cancelled through March 29, 2020.

The decision follows recommendations from the California Department of Public Health to slow the spread of COVID-19. These cancellations include all Mill Valley Community & Aquatics & Fitness Center programs, classes, activities, and events.

UPDATE: In addition to the current closures, the Mill Valley Golf Course and Boyle Park Tennis Courts will be closed as of Tuesday, March 17th, 2020 until further notice.

The City of Mill Valley is suspending the following through March 29, 2020:

* All Mill Valley Community and Aquatics & Fitness Center classes, activities, camps, and aquatics programs
* All after school Enrichment based classes and activities
* All private Mill Valley Community Center rentals
* Special event permits, park permits, and picnic reservations for events on City property for groups of 99 or more
* City-organized special events including Eggstravanga and the Bunny Breakfast

For customers of recreation programs, events and rental facilities, staff will be processing refunds and/ or credits. Due to the volume, this may take a few weeks to fully process. Please be patient as we work to provide refunds, reschedule, or credits.

The City will continue to review all non-essential events beyond March 29, 2020 and the suspension or postponement of additional events will be extended, if necessary.

Today’s announcement follows expanded “gatherings guidance” from the California Department of Public Health to protect public health and slow the rate of transmission of COVID-19.

Community members who feel sick and those in high-risk groups – consisting of those 60 years or older or with underlying health conditions – are encouraged to remain home and not attend large gatherings.
