On a balmy Christmas Day in 1969, Rita Abrams sat down on the bench next to the Mill Valley Greyhound Bus Depot (now the Plaza) to write a little song that, thanks to producer Erik Jacobsen, was to make her, the Strawberry Point School Third Grade Class, and Mill Valley itself famous. But more important was the emotional impact it has had on so many people worldwide.
