To be creative, we must learn to guard the stillness in our lives and cultivate a practice that honors it.
Quiet time allows us to make space for a different state of being, leaving behind the preoccupations of our to-do lists and our monkey brains and allows us to reside in a state of simply being. Being is where the magic and creativity happens.
Instructor Lucy Goodhart will lead mindfulness photography exercises that have the potential to shape and inform the students’ image-making process and ultimately deepen their photographic practice.
Students will be encouraged to commit to a regular practice of exploring mindfulness in photography throughout the 8-week course (5 sessions) that will bring structure to the elusive nature of the creative process.
This mindful photography workshop is particularly beneficial for those wanting to nurture the seed of an idea or project. It will provide disciplined structure as well as critique sessions to help bring an idea to fruition.
