Debut author (and HS student) presents his fantasy fiction story
Drake Philosopher, an orphaned teen of thirteen, never expected to be great. In fact, he’d always thought less of himself, and in his opinion, his master’s constant aggressive encouragement and tough love never really helped.
So, when his kingdom is attacked by a maniacal king, Drake is shocked to discover that his lineage connects to an ancient line of swordsmen, who once defended Lyzix and all of its inhabitants.
Despite the lineage being reborn with Drake, dark intentions brew inside those with power. If Drake can’t keep the lineage protected and in balance, Lyzix may soon meet its downfall…
Nicolò Mazza, a sophomore at St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco, discovered his passion for writing in fifth grade, and has delighted in reading for as long as he can remember. The Forgotten Sword is his first published work and a true labor of love. In addition to writing, Nicolò competes in both water polo and swimming. He is a member of his high school Jazz Band, and has been playing the drums since the age of four. He is involved in multiple clubs and community service work, and resides in a small town in Northern California.
