We’re delighted to be partnering with One Tam for the second year in a row, exhibiting over 100 original oil and water color paintings by 10 artists. This year we will have two new guest artists join us, Kanna Aoki and Robert Steele.
One Tam is the Tamalpais Lands Collaborative community engagement initiative, which supports mountain-wide youth and community programs, restoration activities and citizen science opportunities. One Tam’s efforts bring increased stewardship of the biological, open space, and recreational resources of Mount Tamalpais.
Bill Long, Chair of the Marin Open Space Trust, said, “BayWood Artists’ dazzling paintings bring beautiful open spaces into our homes. They remind us on even the darkest days of our spectacular surroundings and the need to preserve them for future generations.” Doug McConnell, television host and BayWood supporter, has spotlighted the BayWood Artists on both Bay Area Backroads and Open Road.
“One Mountain, One Tam” will feature about 100 original fine art paintings of Mt. Tamalpais depicting the glory of this Bay Area icon.
The BayWood Artists: Christin Coy, Laura Culver, John Finger, Jon Francis, Robert Frank, Sherrill Miller, Zenaida Mott, Lissa Nicolaus and guest artists Kanna Aoki and Robert Gantt Steele.
The show will be open to the public Friday, October 6th through Sunday, October 8th in the newly renovated historic gallery, The Studio, at the Marin Art and Garden Center.
Admission is free and open to the public.
