The Color Red – A Virtual Exhibition

Red is an undeniably powerful color, one that demands attention &, we feel, enhances any environment

Exhibition Dates:
* February 2 – March 31

Seager Gray Gallery is pleased to present The Color Red – A Virtual Exhibition.

Red is an undeniably powerful color, one that demands attention and, we feel, enhances any environment especially when presented as fine art.

Inspired by paintings currently hanging in the gallery in two entirely different mediums, we were struck by how moving the color red is.

Riffing on this wondrous color turned into an entertaining and enlightening deep dive into the history of red in art and its significance throughout time to both artists and patrons.

The number of museum and gallery exhibitions and web articles expressly called The Color Red or similarly focused is remarkable.

Here we present the color red as the prominent feature in five distinct artworks. From pure abstraction to hyperrealism, each artist approaches the use of the color differently – true to their well-defined aesthetic.
