Six Bay Area Artists are showing new work at the Buck Institute for Research on Aging.
The title Thinking Structure refers to the architectural space as well as to the function of the research institute that the artists are responding to in the selection or even production of artwork for this show, curated by Ann-Marie Stöhr.
All six artists tackle the idea of structure in different ways. Including works by Kirk Stoller, Linda Geary, Sabine Reckewell, Ann-Marie Stöhr, Andy Vogt, Ulrike Palmbach.
Panel discussion with Eric Verdin, president of the Buck Institute and the participating artists on Saturday October 27th at 3pm.
Situated in the building designed by renowned architect I M Pei, the Buck Institute operates in a gorgeous building, with no right angles, where light is flooding into a spacious atrium and where the windows are framing the soft rolling hills of Novato.
This project is made possible with generous support of the Buck Institute and the Goethe Institute.
