Window on the Work: Torch Song

The Window on the Work series focuses specifically on the Marin Theatre Company’s production, design, casting, and rehearsal process. When available, actors, directors, and designers will join in these discussions.

Harvey Fierstein’s newly revised two-act version of Torch Song Trilogy is a seminal work celebrating gay culture and its evolution over the span of the late 1970s and ‘80s.

It follows the life of Arnold Beckoff, a torch song-singing, Jewish drag queen living in New York City.

This is a MTC revival of a landmark play by Fierstein, an icon and staple of American musical theatre and Broadway.
