Since the Dance program at college of Marin was founded in 1972 by the late Carol Ott, thousands of students have stepped, twirled, and pirouetted through the campus on their way to university and college programs, professional careers, and other creative ventures. The dance program has a rich curricular diversity and also serves the creative goals of the community–at–large.
Since its inception over 50 years ago, the highly acclaimed Drama Program at College of Marin continually inspires students to dwell in the world of Shakespeare, comedies and dramas both past and present, and popular musicals. Founded in 1964 by celebrated director James Dunn, the program has become a professional training ground for Hollywood movie stars, Broadway actors, and community theatre headliners.
The Music program has been a vibrant part of the College for over 80 years, starting with a small orchestra and chorus and blossoming to a comprehensive university-level transfer program devoted to inspiring a broad spectrum of artists and ground-breaking community performances.
