The Artist in Residence program, an opportunity and platform for emerging artists to experiment and develop new modes of working and thinking around public media.
We are proud to announce the Artist in Residence program, an opportunity and platform for emerging artists to experiment and develop new modes of working and thinking around public media.
Open to local, national, and international artists, CMCM seeks to facilitate the exchange of ideas within and beyond the Bay Area’s artistic community. Public programs such as artist talks, film screenings, art performances, and social events enhance our overall mission by supporting further opportunities for conversations to take place.
Our very first Artist in Residence is Melissa Harvey, a Union College graduate with a BA in Studio Art and English. Her work tends to jumble up notions of intimacy, perceptions of self, memories, nostalgia, and womanhood.
We invite you to come and meet Melissa, who will be working every Saturday from 11 AM to 6 PM in the Private Editing Suite from January to March, ending with a CMCM exhibit in April.
