Aja Smart

Fiber Artist Aja Smart of Strand Texture creates hand crafted wall hangings at her home studio in Mill Valley. Each fiber art piece brings wonderful warmth, vibrancy and textural diversity to any space. She is inspired by both organic forms found in nature and unique geometric patterns. Using a range of weaving and knotted macrame techniques, each piece is truly one of a kind. They are created using eco-friendly 100% recycled high quality cotton cord and various natural fibers like wool and silk, hung from either local driftwood or birch dowels.

Aja grew up in Mill Valley and has a husband and young son. She has been creating various arts over her lifetime including a jewelry line drawing, painting, sewing, crocheting and more!
