Classically Trained Double Bassist – CU Boulder College of Music, BM in music Performance on Double Bass, experience in rock/funk bands on electric bass

Years in High school orchestra/jazz ensemble, College of Marin Orchestra/ COM Big Band Jazz ensemble 2012-2019 and of course, CU Boulder Symphony orchestra under the tutelage of Paul Erhard.

Primary bass Teacher in truth – Clarence Stephens – Double Bassist and friend and mentor and hero.

Nowadays, I play mostly Jazz, some classical, funk, etc.    Inspired by the great bass cats and Jazz leaders – Scott LaFaro, Christian McBride, Bill Evans Trio/ Monk/ Miles/ Coltrane/ Chick Corea – various enembles – John Pattituci is also a bass role model if you will/ Edgar Meyers/ YoYoMa and so forth in other mixed genres – Stanley Clarke, I dig Esperanza Spalding, and Victor Wooten and Joe Dart.

Classical Heroes – the usual Bach, Beethoven, Brahms (the 3 B’s), Debussy, Stravinsky, and other Uniquely Splendid musicians, notably, Joel Andrews – Harpist and sound Healer, DJ Shadow, MFDoom, and others of this era.
