This year’s theme: “It takes a Village”
Join us once again as we reflect on the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 and the delayed news in June 1865 that set the stage for this annual event, often called Independence Day for African-Americans.
This year our theme is: “It takes a Village” and our collaborative team of “New School and Old School” organizers have joined together to create a day that has something for all ages.
Food, Music, Local Vendors and African Marketplace, a mobile Barber, Hair Braiding, and a supervised Children’s play area make this event a day worth coming out for.
See you there!
