La Vie en Rose Silk Flower Making Workshop

* Sunday, March 24, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm

A creative silk flower making workshop, taught by milliner Laurie Berliner and textile designer and painter Barb Dixon Jobin, participants will create a 3” silk rugosa rose, perfect for a wristlet, flower pin or hat adornment.

We will begin with a brief explanation of the history, tradition and techniques of silk flower making around the world. In the lovely, light-filled WERKSTATT art gallery in The Shop, we will create the Rosa rugosa using primarily traditional techniques and tools.

You will paint the petals in colors inspired by the gardens of the Marin Art and Garden Center.
