Fiddler on the Roof follows the family of Tevye & the Jewish community of Anatevka in 1905 Russia
Fiddler on the Roof at 142 Throckmorton Theatre
* May 10-26, 2024
Join us this May as we bring back to our Throckmorton Stage the immensely talented Throckmorton Youth Company in another wildly popular and beloved musical, Fiddler on the Roof.
With its incredible music, cast of characters and rich history, this story is ultimately a universal tale of love, tradition, tolerance and a changing world.
Based on a collection of short stories written by Sholem Aleichem (real name Solomon Naumovich Rabinovich), Fiddler on the Roof follows the family of Tevye and the Jewish community of Anatevka in 1905 Russia during a time of political unrest and oppression and how this small community (shtetl) experienced daily life and the ultimate struggle of finding “home”.
